Even though I love and ADORE my baby boy I also want a little girl of my own someday. I think I’m pretty ‘girly’ myself so the idea of baking cupcakes, painting fingernails, and playing dress-up with my future daughter thrills me and I hope I get the opportunity sometime soon! (I’m still getting used to the idea that I’ll be playing with dirt and bugs with Cayden some day… good thing I already love sports!) Until that day comes I spend my time torturing myself by spending hours looking at all the cute little hair bows, dresses, and best of all RUFFLE BUTTS for little girls! In my masochistic search I stumbled upon Danica’s sweet Etsy shop Dreaming of Stitches and I instantly fell in love! Danica specializes in onesies (Gerber brand, 100% cotton) made custom by sewing on sweet little appliqués and blinged out with Swarovski austrian crystals. The best part of her onesies? RUFFLE BUTTS! Who doesn’t love a baby with layer upon layer of ruffle on her booty? Adorable. To top it off, she also custom makes matching headbands creating a sweet outfit for your little one! Danica also makes the cutest baby leg warmers (I’m obsessed) as well as hats and other sweet odds and ends! Plus all of her items are made in a smoke free, pet free home so you don’t have to worry about icky smells, fur, or allergies! :)
A little bit about Danica:
I am a stay at home mother of two cute little girls. I like to blog, digital scrapbook, sew, quilt, cook, water ski, and geocache. I started sewing when I was 8 years old and crocheting when I was 10. I love to sew as a hobby and for the fun social aspect of it. I grew up sewing with my mom and grandmother to make dresses and family quilts and plan on teaching my girls to sew when they are old enough. My cousin has an Etsy shop, Skye O Shop, selling designer purses and bags (http://www.etsy.com/shop/skyeoshop). I decided I should give it a try and started selling things on Etsy last spring. My Ruffle Bum Onesies have really been the biggest hit and they look really cute paired with leg warmers for the fall and winter. I love designer fabric especially Kate Spain and Anna Maria Horner. I love fun, bright, colorful designs and fabrics that are out of the ordinary.
